CASE Kids

OUR VISION

Here at The Church at South Edmonton we cherish the children and are passionate about them growing up having a relationship with Father God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. We aim to provide a safe, loving and welcoming environment for the children to explore their faith, learn and ask questions.

We are dedicated to teaching kids about the love of the Holy Trinity and to steward their walk with Jesus. In CASE Kids, we disciple the leaders of the future and teach them how to walk in their Kingdom identity and authority. We believe that children can receive the fullness of Holy Spirit and actively engage in using spiritual gifts to change the world around them. The Bible is our central source for teaching the children foundational kingdom principles such as Jesus as the center of everything, hearing the voice of God, living a life of prayer and worship, fruit of the Spirit, spiritual gifts, kingdom authority, the Bible as being true and trustworthy, and much more!

SUNDAY MORNING

If it is your first visit to CASE, arrive early and come to The HUB so we can meet your family, get the children signed up and give you a quick tour of our kids classrooms. You can fill out a Child Registration form here before your visit to make the process easier for you!

Our entire Church Family gathers at 10am to worship in the Sanctuary. We believe that children belong in the worship service, they are not a distraction, and we encourage them to have fun as we worship the King! We encourage parents, caregivers and church members to engage in worship as an example for the children to follow.

When our worship time is over, the children are released to their classes. We ask a parent or guardian to come to The HUB in the foyer so we can sign them in, if they haven't already been signed in. We strongly encourage parents to sign their kids in prior to the service.

We currently offer three classes. Legends, for grades 1-6 which is a fun, structured learning environment. Heroes, ages 3-5 which is a play-based class for the children to get comfortable and build relationships and trust before they move on to elementary classes. Dreamers, ages 0-2, which is for very young children to have a place to play and engage with educators and other children, while their parents enjoy the sermon.

WHAT WE OFFER

First, find the CASE Kids Check-In at The HUB.  There we will meet your family, check your child into our system, and then one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room. We currently offer Dreamers (Age 0-2), Heroes (Ages 3-5), and Legends (Grades 1-6). Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information:

  • Parent/guardian name(s)

  • Child's name

  • Child's birthdate

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children

We also ask that you fill out a Child Registration Form, either online or in person, before checking your kids in. You can find the form Here

Before Service: You can check-in your child at The HUB. You and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching security tag.

After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, your security code will pop up on the screens. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.

If your child(ren) is/are nervous we invite parents to join us in the classroom to help ease them into the class until they feel comfortable. We also strongly encourage and need Parent Partnership to run our classes which is a commitment of no more than one time per month per family, volunteering in our classes.

MOTHER'S ROOM

We have a parents viewing room on the right-hand side as soon as you walk into the auditorium. The room is equipped with reclining rocking chairs, a changing station, baby chairs, water and dimming lights. This room is reserved exclusively for mothers with infants to enjoy the service in a more private and quieter environment.

OUR VOLUNTEERS

Our volunteers help every aspect of a Sunday morning service run smoothly, including our CASE Kids classes. The volunteers all love children and are dedicated to helping them meet with Jesus in their classes.
We prioritize the safety and protection of the children here at CASE; all of our volunteers are screened and attend safety training at least once every year to help make CASE Kids a comfortable, welcoming place for children to discover who God made them to be.
We strongly encourage family involvement, and we need your partnership to keep our kid’s ministry running smoothly. If you have decided to make CASE your church home, we ask that at least one parent/guardian/family member volunteers in CASE Kids (volunteers are scheduled no more than once per month).
